Our place, C I E S, is located at Rzh 221 in Rajnagar II, which is part of Palam Colony in New Delhi. It is a typical Delhi neighborhood, always moving and always loud. We have a small office here where we handle our business affairs. It’s nothing special, just some desks and some computers. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. Being in Palam Colony makes it easy to stay connected with the local community. A big corporate structure isn't something we have. If you call, one of us will answer the phone directly. We do a lot of different things depending on what is needed at the time. Power goes out sometimes, and we just wait it out or work by the window light. That is just life in the city. We don't spend much time on decorations or trying to look professional. Getting the work done so we can get on with our lives is the main thing. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us. We've made some good friends in the area over the years. Most of our clients are just people from around here or small businesses nearby. A mission statement isn't something we've ever written. We just show up and do what needs doing. It is a simple way to exist in a big city like Delhi. The independence is nice, even when things get messy or a bit disorganized.
