Our place is Flat No 94 in the Dda Flats, Sector 23 of Dwarka. It is out in the southwest part of New Delhi. Dwarka is quite a planned area so the roads are big and the blocks are numbered clearly. American Express Pvt Ltd is based in this flat. It’s not a massive office building. It’s more like a home that has been turned into a work area. We have our desks set up in the different rooms. It can get a bit tight when everyone is in at the same time. The Dda flats are all built in a similar way so you have to look for the number 94 specifically. There is a lot of green space around this sector which is nice. You can hear the planes sometimes since the airport is not too far away. We usually have our lunch together in the small kitchen area. It’s a very local feel, nothing like those big glass buildings you see in Gurgaon. We deal with the usual stuff like the water tank getting empty or the lift being slow. It’s just how it is living and working in a Delhi flat. We’ve been here for a bit and the security guards at the gate know us all by name. It is a practical location for the staff who live nearby.
