AASH ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PRIVATE LIMITED is set up in the Sarvahit Apartment in Dwarka Sector-17. We are in Flat No. 53 on the second floor of Pocket-A. It’s right near the I.P. University, so there are always students walking around the area. Dwarka is much more spread out and planned than other parts of Delhi, which makes it a bit easier to get around. Our office is basically an apartment that we have converted into a workspace. It feels a bit like a home, which is nice when we have to stay late to finish up some engineering designs. We have drafting tables set up in what would have been the living room. Most of our work is about the technical side of construction. We spend hours checking calculations and making sure everything is up to code. It’s a lot of quiet work interspersed with loud phone calls to various contractors. The balcony looks out over the parking lot and some trees. We have a kettle for making tea and a fridge stocked with cold drinks for the summer. It’s a steady environment. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. People just come up the stairs, knock on the door, and we talk about whatever project is on the table. It is a practical way to run an engineering firm in West Delhi without making things too complicated.
