Santana Beach Resort

We are located at the Quinta Costa Frias Complex in Dando, right near the O Hotel in Candolim. It is a busy stretch of road and we have been here for a good while now. The beach is close enough that you can smell the salt in the air most mornings. We spend a lot of time sweeping sand out of the lobby because guests bring it in on their shoes. It is a constant battle against the humidity too, which makes the paint peel if you aren't careful. The staff usually starts early, getting the breakfast area ready and making sure the pool is clear of leaves. We have a few dogs that hang around the gate and they usually get some scraps from the kitchen. It is not some high-end corporate place, just a local spot where people come to relax. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a light bulb flickers, and we just go fix it as soon as someone tells us. The gardens need a lot of water in the summer heat. We have some old wicker chairs out front where we sit when things get quiet. Most of the people who stay with us are just looking for a decent bed and a bit of peace. We know the neighbors at the other hotels and we all pretty much look out for each other. It is a lot of work but we like being by the sea.
