Marquis Beach Resort

Down in Dando, in the Candolina area, you’ll find us at Marquis Beach Resort. The pincode here is 403515. We are right by the water, which is why most people come to see us. It’s a different pace of life here compared to the big cities. We spend a lot of time dealing with the sand and the salt air, which can be tough on the buildings. There is always some painting or fixing that needs to be done. We have a small crew of local people who help run the place. We’ve seen the seasons change many times, from the busy months when the beach is full to the monsoon when everything gets quiet and wet. Our days are spent checking people in, making sure the grounds look okay, and talking to the guests about what’s good to do nearby. It isn't a corporate setup. We just run it as a local business. Sometimes the power goes out or the weather gets wild, but that is just life in Goa. We have chairs out where people can sit and look at the ocean. It’s a simple life, really. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just provide a spot near the beach for people who want to be away from the noise for a while. It’s a lot of hard work behind the scenes, but we enjoy the view. The sun and the sea keep us busy enough throughout the year.
