Alila Goa

Starting at No. 48/ 10 in Majorda, it’s mostly just us and the local village surroundings. Salcette is a quiet area and being in Adao Waddo means we see the same people every day. It’s not like the busy parts of the city. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the daily tasks here. Alila Goa is where we work, but the neighborhood really dictates the pace. The weather gets hot, so things move a bit slower in the afternoons. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to make sure everything is closed up tight. People stop by and ask for directions quite a bit. There is a specific way the sun hits the building in the evening that we’ve all gotten used to. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical setup for the work we do. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or take their scooters to get here. It’s a simple routine. We check the gates, look over the gardens, and make sure the place stays tidy. There’s always some small repair to do, like a leaky tap or a door that won't shut right because of the humidity. It’s just how things go in this part of Goa. We’ve been here a while now and the neighbors know us. It isn't complicated. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down.
