Wasim Gents Saloon

Wasim Gents Saloon is sitting at G-76 on Vrt Road in the Madangir area of Ambedkar Nagar. It is a typical Delhi spot where the street is narrow and always full of life. We have been in this location for a while now and the neighborhood guys know us well. The shop is small and the walls are painted a color that was bright once but has faded over the years. We have the standard barber chairs that lean back for a shave and a big shelf where we keep all the razors and the brushes. The fan on the ceiling wobbles a little when it is on high but it keeps the air moving during the hot Delhi afternoons. We see a lot of people from the local blocks who just want a quick beard trim or a haircut before a wedding or a job interview. There is always a bit of talk going on about cricket or the local news while the clippers are running. The floor is covered in hair most of the time because we are usually too busy to sweep until there is a break in the customers. We use the old-fashioned lather for shaves and the smell of it stays in the shop all day long. It is a honest place where we work hard and try to make sure everyone looks a bit sharper when they walk out the door. We stay open late into the evening for those finishing work.
