Vaiyush Creations

Being at 171 Main Market in Sarojini Nagar means we are right in the thick of it. This place never really sleeps. Even before we open the shop, there are people wandering around looking for deals. Vaiyush Creations is a small spot, squeezed between other shops that are just as busy. We have a lot of items packed into a very small area. Most of the time, the floor is covered in plastic bags from new shipments that just arrived. We don't have much room for a desk, so we usually do our paperwork on a stool or right on the counter. The mirrors are a bit smudged from people leaning on them, and we try to wipe them down when we get a spare minute. It’s a loud environment. You hear music from the next shop and people haggling over prices right outside the door. We don't do the big sales pitches. We just show what we have and tell people the price. Sometimes the lights flicker when the market load is too high. We just keep working. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, which can be tiring. But we like being part of the market energy. When the day ends, we pull down the shutter, lock the three different padlocks, and head out. It’s a simple, busy life in one of the most crowded places you can find.
