Up on the first floor here at B-58 in Defence Colony, things stay pretty busy for Kirloskar Technologies. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our workspace set up just fine. You have to walk up the stairs, and sometimes the light in the stairwell flickers, but the office itself is decent. We deal with a lot of technical things, which means there are wires and boxes everywhere. It isn't the kind of place with a fancy lobby or a receptionist who offers you fancy water. We just have a water cooler in the corner and a bunch of people who really know their way around a motherboard. Some of us have been here since the start. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at data. It gets quiet when everyone is focused, then loud again when we’re trying to solve a problem. It’s not always organized perfectly; there’s usually a stack of manuals somewhere that nobody has touched in months. But we know where the important stuff is. We take our lunches when we can find the time. Sometimes we just order in and eat at our desks while we finish up a task. It’s a simple setup. No big corporate vibes here, just a bunch of people trying to make the technology work like it’s supposed to. We have a small balcony where people go to take a breath of air, though the view is just more buildings. It’s nice to have that little bit of outside.
