We are located at K 7A in Kailash Colony, which is a pretty well-known part of New Delhi. The office is in a building that has seen many years, but it is sturdy and keeps us dry when the monsoons hit. Working in the 110048 area means we have plenty of places to grab a quick bite during lunch, but we usually just bring stuff from home. Trans Continental E Services is what it says on the door, and inside it is a mix of old wooden desks and a few newer computers we got last year. The stairs are a bit steep, and there is no lift, so we all get a bit of a workout just coming into work every morning. It is not a fancy corporate park with glass walls; it is just a regular street with houses and other small businesses nearby. Sometimes the street noise from the local market gets loud enough that we have to shut the windows, which makes it a bit stuffy inside. We have a small cupboard for our bags and coats, and there is always a stack of files that needs filing sitting on the floor because we ran out of shelf space months ago. It is the kind of place where everyone knows whose turn it is to buy the biscuits for the afternoon break. We do not spend much time worrying about how things look as long as the work gets finished.
