The Geographical Company

The Geographical Company is based at 89, Ghaffar Manzil. That’s in the Jamia Enclave part of Okhla. It’s a very local feel around here. New Delhi-110025 is a crowded spot, and our building is tucked away in the narrow lanes. We have maps and books everywhere because of the nature of the work. It’s not a shiny corporate office. It feels more like a study or a library that someone decided to turn into a business. The walls have some old marks and the shelves are a bit crooked from the weight of the books. We like it that way. It feels real. We spend our time looking at locations and coordinates. Sometimes people wander in thinking we sell something else. We just point them in the right direction. The tea here is good because the guy on the corner makes it very strong. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the geography and the details. The enclave is usually noisy with scooters and people talking. We’ve been at 89 Ghaffar Manzil for a while now. It’s our little corner of the city. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with the maps and the data we have. It’s a steady job and we are happy with the small space we have.
