This setup is located in Wd-5 at the Himadhri Hostel within the IIT campus. It is definitely not a traditional office by any means. It’s a small space, mostly just a desk, a laptop, and a lot of books piled up in the corners. Since it’s a hostel, there is always the sound of people talking in the corridors or the distant noise from the canteen. It feels very different from the rest of New Delhi once you are inside the gates. There isn't much room for guests, so we usually end up meeting people outside or at one of the campus spots. The lighting isn't the best in the evenings, but the internet is usually steady enough for what we need to do. Being Sathya R here means working within a very academic environment. You see students rushing to classes every morning while we are just starting our day. The room stays a bit messy because there isn't enough storage for everything. We don't have any staff or big equipment. It is just a simple, functional spot to get work done. Sometimes the monkeys on campus make a mess near the windows, so we have to keep them shut tightly. It is a bit of a unique situation, but it works for now. We don't need much more than a quiet corner and some electricity to keep things moving along. There is always a stack of papers somewhere that needs sorting and it keeps the mind very busy.
