Sanjeev Abrol

I'm writing this from Sanjeev Abrol’s place in Sheikh Sarai Phase 2, New Delhi. We are over at Ppal L26 H, which is tucked away in one of those typical residential blocks you find in this part of South Delhi. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t used to the layout of the phases. The office is pretty small and simple. We’ve got a couple of computers and some chairs that have seen better days. It isn’t the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s where we do all our daily work. Outside, there’s usually some kids playing or people walking their dogs, so it feels very much like a neighborhood. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. The mornings are usually spent drinking chai and figuring out what needs to be finished by the evening. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, which is nice because Delhi can be so loud. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait, or we talk about things other than work. We’ve been at this address for quite a while, so we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. It’s a practical setup. We don’t need much else besides our desks and a good internet connection. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here in Sheikh Sarai for us.
