Our office at Fairwood Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is in a bit of a different setting. We are based in House No.-250 on the ground floor of the Nilgiri Apartments in Alaknanda. It feels more like a home than a typical office building, which we actually quite like. Working out of Alaknanda gives us a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere compared to the big commercial blocks. We are a team of consultants, so a lot of our time is spent looking at drawings, checking figures, and having long meetings around a big wooden table. Because we are in an apartment complex, it is much quieter here, although you still hear the usual sounds of the neighborhood. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign out front. You just come to the door and ring the bell. Inside, it is just rows of desks and a lot of books. We try to keep things simple. We don't use a lot of jargon when we talk to each other. We just focus on the projects we have in front of us. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a proposal, and the apartment feels very peaceful then. It is a very direct way of working. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office; we just want to do good work and stay on top of our assignments. It is a comfortable place to spend our working hours.
