Ficus Securities Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the ground floor of B-89 in Malviya Nagar. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just walk right in from the street. Malviya Nagar is a lively neighborhood, so there is always a lot of foot traffic and local noise. We have a pretty straightforward setup here. A few desks, some chairs for visitors, and plenty of computers. We deal with securities and financial bits, which means we spend a lot of our time looking at screens and talking on the phone. It is not a very loud office, except for when the market is doing something interesting. We have got a small kettle in the back for making tea, which is pretty much the fuel for our afternoons. The space is not huge, but it fits us just fine. We like being part of the local community here. You get to know the people running the shops nearby and the regulars who walk past every morning. We do not really do anything too formal. If someone has a question about their paperwork, we sit down and go through it with them. It is just about keeping things clear and making sure the records are right. It can be a lot of data entry sometimes, but that is just the job. We keep the doors open and stay focused on the numbers.
