We’ve been here at Sarai Julena for quite a while now. Our office is on the second floor of 159/2, and honestly, those stairs can be a bit much when it is hot outside. Most mornings start with someone unlocking the heavy shutter and clearing away whatever dust settled overnight. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of files that seem to grow every month. You can hear the traffic from the main road all day long, which just becomes part of the background after a week of working here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just sorting through papers. There’s a tea stall just down the street that everyone here relies on around three in the afternoon. It gets pretty crowded in this part of town, especially during the rush hour when everyone is trying to move at once. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. People just walk in, we talk about what needs to be done, and we get to it. Sometimes the internet acts up because of the old wiring in the building, but we manage. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of the city. We know the neighbors, and they know us. Most days are just about keeping up with the work and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It's a simple way to run a business, but it works for us.
