Our office is tucked away, so it’s a bit quieter than the main road, but you can still hear the horns honking in the distance. We have a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of wires running along the walls for the internet and power. It’s an IT place, so there’s always someone looking at a screen or trying to figure out why a piece of software isn’t behaving. We don’t have a big reception area or anything, just a door that stays closed to keep the air conditioning in during the summer months. The staff is mostly younger folks who know their way around a keyboard. We keep a stash of instant noodles in the corner because people stay late sometimes. The furniture is a bit mismatched, mostly stuff we picked up when we first moved in. It’s a busy environment, but we try to keep things relaxed. Nobody wears suits here. We just show up in whatever is comfortable and get to work on the projects we have for the week. Saket is a good place to be because there’s always something to eat nearby if we get bored of home-cooked lunches. There is a small park nearby where some of us walk after finishing the shift.
