Prem Chand Anand Kumar

Our place is at Plot No. N-468, down Gali No-16 in Saurabh Vihar. We are in the Jaitpur area, right near the bus stop, which makes it easy for people to find us if they are taking public transport. Prem Chand Anand Kumar is the name we’ve used for years. It’s a family name and we are proud of it. The shop is on a narrow street, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when cars try to pass each other. We sell basic goods and supplies to the people living around here. Our shelves are usually pretty full, even if they aren't the most organized. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. We open up early and usually stay open late until the last few people finish their work and head home. The neighborhood is lively and there are always kids playing in the street outside. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need something. Sometimes we sit on stools out front and talk to the neighbors while we wait for customers. It is a very normal, everyday kind of life. We’ve lived in Saurabh Vihar for a long time, so we know most of the families by name. We try to help out when we can. It’s not a big business, but it’s ours and we work hard at it every day.
