Prashant Bhattacharya

Our address is J3/78 Khirki Extension, which sits right in the Malviya Nagar area of New Delhi. Prashant Bhattacharya is the name we go by here, and we’ve been part of this little community for a while. Khirki is a strange mix of narrow lanes and sudden open spaces, and our spot is right in the middle of that. The office isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular door in a busy street. Inside, it’s a bit of a clutter of books, old equipment, and whatever else we’ve picked up over the months. We don't have a big sign outside, so people usually have to look twice to find us. The light in the afternoon hits the front desk just right, but it makes the room really hot for an hour or two. We have a small fan that works okay, but it makes a clicking sound that we’ve all learned to ignore. Malviya Nagar is a great place to be because of the energy, though the Delhi-110017 traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour. Most of our days are spent just dealing with the usual routine, nothing too exciting. We know the local chai wala by name and he knows exactly how we like our tea. It’s a very human way to live and work, without all the polish you see in the bigger offices. We aren't trying to impress anyone; we’re just here doing our bit in Khirki Extension. It’s just a normal place with normal people.
