Prakash Pathak

Out here in 145/7 Vayasena Vihar, the air feels a bit different than the rest of New Delhi. It’s a bit tucked away, which I like, though the Delhi dust finds its way everywhere regardless. Prakash Pathak is who I am, and this is where I spend most of my hours. The house is a standard sort of place for this area. It has those heavy doors and floors that stay cool even when the sun is beating down on the roof. I don't have a big team or anything, just me and occasionally some help when things get really backed up. The neighborhood is quiet mostly, except for the morning sounds of people heading out to work and the vegetable sellers passing through. I’ve got a small room set up with a table and a couple of chairs. It’s nothing impressive, just a place to keep my records and handle the paperwork. Sometimes I think about moving to a more central spot, but then I remember how much I’d hate the extra noise. Here, I can actually hear myself think. The address is 110062, so it’s way down south. You have to navigate some narrow turns to get to this specific block. It’s a simple life, really. I wake up, have my chai, and get to work right here. No big corporate goals, just making sure the day's tasks are finished before the sun goes down. It's enough for me.
