Pearl Exports

Lajpat Nagar-I is always crowded, and our place at F/175 is right in the middle of it all. Pearl Exports has been operating out of this building for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and samples we keep piled up. We have a few rooms dedicated to different stages of the work. The street outside is noisy with rickshaws and vendors, but once you step inside, it’s just the sound of the fans and the staff talking. We aren’t a huge operation, just a handful of us making sure the export orders are handled properly. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no big windows in the main workspace. We use a lot of tape and brown paper for packing. The stairs are narrow, so moving heavy loads can be a bit of a struggle, but we've gotten used to it. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff. We just focus on the items we are sending out. There’s always a teapot on the stove and someone is usually hungry. It’s a lived-in space with scuffed floors and old wooden chairs. We try to keep the paperwork in order but sometimes things get buried under a pile of fabric or paper. It’s just how we work here in the city.
