Niharika Beauty Parlour

You can find Niharika Beauty Parlour at number 38 in Nangli Razapur, which is over in Nizamuddin East. Being so close to the Nizamuddin Railway Station means there is always a lot of movement and noise around us. I’ve been running this place for a long time, and the building itself is quite old. We have a simple sign outside that some people miss if they aren't looking for it. Inside, it's just a few chairs and the basic equipment I’ve gathered over the years. I mostly deal with the local women from the neighborhood who want a quick trim or to get their nails done. I don't go in for those expensive marketing tricks or anything like that. People come because they know me and I know how they like their hair. The area gets very crowded, especially when the trains are coming in or out. I usually keep the door half-closed to keep the dust out from the street. It’s a small operation. I do the work myself mostly. Sometimes I stay open late if a regular customer calls and says they are stuck in traffic. It’s not always easy running a business in this part of Delhi, but I’ve made a lot of friends here. We drink a lot of chai and talk about our families while I work. It feels more like a living room than a shop sometimes. I plan to stay at this address as long as I can work.
