If you ever find yourself in Govindpuri, you might come across our building at 1207 B 13. This is where Nextgen Publishing Ltd is based, right in the heart of Kalka Ji. It’s a bit of a maze around here with all the narrow streets and buildings packed together, but we like the energy of the place. Our office is usually filled with stacks of paper and books everywhere you look. It’s a bit messy, to be honest, but that is just how publishing goes. We spend a lot of time proofing things and talking to writers on the phone about their work. It’s not a quiet library type of place; there is always something moving or someone coming in with a delivery. We have been in this New Delhi spot for a while now and the locals are used to seeing us hauling boxes of printed materials in and out. The light in the office isn't the best in the afternoons, so we have a few extra lamps sitting around to help us see better. We are just a group of people who enjoy the process of putting things together into print. We don’t do much of that flashy marketing stuff, we just focus on the actual work at hand. Most of us take the metro to get here since parking in Govindpuri is a nightmare for everyone. It’s a real, lived-in workspace where things actually get done without any corporate polish or fancy furniture getting in the way.
