Netcom Computers

Nehru Place is a chaotic place, let's be honest. Everyone is selling something or fixing something else. We are up on the third floor of the Shankutla Building, room 305. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more than we’d like. Netcom Computers has been in this building for quite some time. The walls are covered in posters and old calendars. We mostly deal with computer parts and repairs. People walk in with broken screens or slow hard drives all day long. The noise from the street below filters up, but we’re used to it. It’s just the sound of the city. Our desks are usually covered in screwdrivers and bits of wire. It might look messy to an outsider, but there’s a system to it. We don't have a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and find us working. We talk to people plainly. If a laptop is dead, we tell them. If it can be saved, we do our best. There are hundreds of shops like ours in Nehru Place, but we have our regulars who trust us. They like that we don't use big words to explain a simple motherboard issue. We just fix what's broken and move on to the next one. It’s a busy life, and the days go by fast in this building. We’ve been here so long that the security guards are like family.
