Multilink Computers Pvt. Ltd. is located at 24, Second Floor of the Deepak Building. Nehru Place is a chaotic spot for electronics, and being at number 13 means we are right in the thick of it. The stairs up to the second floor are always packed with people carrying boxes or parts. Our office is a bit small for all the things we try to keep inside. We have desks pushed against the walls and wires running along the floor in plastic covers. It’s a very functional space. Nehru Place is noisy from early morning until late at night. You can hear the shouting of vendors and the constant hum of the crowd from our windows. We usually keep the glass shut to keep the dust out. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle in the corner for making tea. The walls have some scuff marks from moving equipment around. It’s a lived-in office. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcuts through the building. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the stalls downstairs. There is no corporate vibe here. We just come in, do what needs to be done with the computers, and leave at the end of the shift. It’s a busy, cramped, and honest way to make a living in this part of town.
