Mother Dairy Ice Cream

You can find us at 90/36 in the Malviya Nagar Main Market. It’s a small place but we keep it running. Being in the main market means there’s always someone walking by, especially in the evenings when families come out for a stroll. We have the big Mother Dairy Ice Cream freezers lined up and they hum all day long. Keeping things cold is our main job. In the summer, it gets really hectic. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to jump to make sure everything stays frozen. It’s a bit of a scramble then. We see a lot of kids coming in after school, pointing at the pictures on the glass. We don't have much room for chairs or anything, so people usually just grab what they want and eat it while they walk. It’s a simple life. We keep the floor clean as much as we can, though people bring in a lot of dirt from the street. The shelves are mostly just for the cones and cups. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We swap stories when it’s quiet. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets really packed. We don't do much talking, just getting the flavors right and making sure everyone gets their change back. It’s just a normal neighborhood ice cream spot, nothing more and nothing less than that. We are just here to sell ice cream and keep the machines running.
