Mohd.Shoeb Alam

The office is tucked away in Tayyeb Lane, right near Tayyab Masjid at Thokar No. 8. This is in the Jamia Nagar area of Okhla in New Delhi. My name is Mohd. Shoeb Alam and I’ve been working out of this spot at C-153 for quite a while. If you’ve ever been to Jamia Nagar, you know how crowded and lively it is. There’s always someone shouting or a rickshaw bell ringing outside. Our space is small but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We have some shelves filled with papers and a couple of desks that have seen better days. It’s a bit of a maze to find us if you don’t know the lane, but once you’re here, it’s a friendly atmosphere. We work long hours because the city never really stops. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors when they pass by. It isn't a corporate setup by any means. We do our own cleaning and handle all the paperwork ourselves. Sometimes the internet is slow or the heat gets to be too much, but we keep going. It’s a real place with real people trying to make a living. We aren't interested in sounding like a big company. We just want to do our work and stay part of this community. Sometimes the street lights don't work, so we have to use our phone torches to find the lock at night.
