Midastouch

Our workspace is down in the basement of Plot No-B-39 in Okhla Phase-II. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, but it stays a bit cooler during the hot months which is a plus. Okhla is a heavy industrial area, so there is always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. We have been here for a while and the space is filled with all sorts of things we use for our work. It’s not the kind of place you would see in a magazine; it’s a working office with boxes in the corners and sketches pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time down here going over details and making sure things are moving along as they should. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just how it goes in this part of town. The stairs down to the office are a bit steep, so we tell people to watch their step. There is a lot of dust because of the factories around us, so we are constantly wiping down the desks. It’s a busy environment and we are usually focused on getting the day's tasks finished. We eat our lunch at the main table most days, talking about whatever project is currently on the board. It is a simple, hardworking atmosphere without any extra polish.
