Maurya Tempo Transport Service

Maurya Tempo Transport Service is located right behind Mehar Chand Market at S-134/90 Lodhi Colony in the Harijan Camp area. It is a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the sign near the back. We have a couple of tempos that we use for moving stuff around the city. Most of the time we are out on the road, so the office is often just one person sitting there with a phone. It's a small operation. We started this because there was a need for moving smaller loads that big trucks won't take. The traffic in Delhi is always a mess, so we spend a lot of our life sitting in jams. Our drivers know the shortcuts though. The tempos are not brand new, they have a few dents and scratches from years of work, but they run fine. We keep the keys on a big hook by the door. On rainy days, things slow down a bit because loading becomes a headache. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It's just us and the vehicles. If someone needs a fridge moved or some office chairs taken across town, they call us. It is a simple life of driving and lifting. We've been in Lodhi Colony for a long time and the neighborhood feels like home. We just keep the wheels turning every day. Sometimes it is tiring, but we like the work. It is a good way to see the city.
