Divya Roadlines

Our setup is over at D-71 Lal Kuan, right in the Vishwakarma Colony area. We occupy the ground floor, which makes it easier for the drivers to pop in and out when they need their paperwork sorted. It’s a busy place, mostly filled with the sound of trucks idling outside and the constant ringing of phones on the desks. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars on the wall and a lot of logbooks that need filling out. The dust from the road always finds its way inside no matter how much we sweep. Working in transport means things never really stop; there’s always a load coming in or a truck that’s running late because of some breakdown on the highway. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys on the road, trying to figure out where everyone is. It’s practical work, really. We deal with the logistics of moving stuff from one point to another without making a big deal out of it. Most days involve a lot of tea and staring at maps or shipping manifests. It gets a bit chaotic during the peak times when everyone wants their goods moved at once, but we just handle one thing at a time. The office is just a place where we get the coordination done, right here in the heart of the colony where all the industrial action is.
