We are set up at 274 Main Market in Badarpur, New Delhi. Being in the main market means it is always loud and there is always something going on right outside our door. Lahmeyer Internationa India Pvt Ltd does a lot of international-style engineering and consulting work from this office, even though the location is very local and traditional. The building isn't anything special, just one of the many brick structures and offices along the main road. Getting here in the morning is quite a task because the Badarpur border is usually jammed with trucks and cars. Inside, it is a bit quieter, and we have our drafting tables and computers set up for the various projects we work on. We have engineers and staff who have been with us for many years now. We don't spend money on fancy decor or polished furniture; we just focus on the drawings and reports we have to finish. Sometimes we get lunch from the local eateries in the market, which have some of the best street food if you know where to go. The dust from the road is a bit of a problem, so we are always cleaning the desks and windows. It is a busy environment, but we like the pace of it. We just do our work, keep our files organized, and try to stay on top of the different international standards required for our projects. We have been in this spot for a long time and the locals know us.
