Kumar Associates

Our place is down in the basement at C-66/2 in Okhla Industrial Estate Phase II. It’s right across from the Archies Gallery, which is usually how people find us if they get lost in the estate. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler when the sun is really hitting the pavement outside, which is nice. Okhla is always full of trucks and people moving things around, so there is constant noise. We’ve been in this part of Phase II for a long time. The office is functional. We have our desks, the computers, and a lot of folders stacked up. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything too pretty or polished. We spend most of our time dealing with the daily tasks that come with being Kumar Associates. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about the news, while other days the phone won't stop ringing. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren’t familiar with the blocks, but once you’re inside, it’s just a regular workspace. We keep it simple. No big signs or flashing lights. Just a door and some people working inside. We know the neighbors, mostly other small businesses and workshops. It’s a gritty part of town, but it has its own rhythm. We’ve grown accustomed to the sounds of the machinery nearby. It’s just how things are here in the estate.
