Kapry Ice Cream

Kapry Ice Cream is tucked into Plot No 35 in the Kailash Colony Market. If you know the market, you know it can get pretty chaotic, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We have a small space here, but it stays busy enough to keep us on our feet all day. Most of the people who come in are already tired from walking around the shops and just want something cold to eat. We don't have a lot of room for people to hang around inside, so most folks take their stuff and keep walking through the stalls. The market has its own rhythm, and we have learned to follow it over the years. Morning is for cleaning and stocking up the tubs. By afternoon, the heat starts to get into the shop, so we keep the fans going full blast. It’s a family-run thing, so you’ll usually see me or one of my cousins at the register. We have a few regular customers who come every Tuesday like clockwork. The back room is a bit cramped with all the extra cardboard boxes and the spare parts for the cooling units. Sometimes we run out of the popular flavors faster than we expect, and we have to explain that to the disappointed kids. It’s not a fancy place, just a standard shop in a very busy Delhi market, trying to keep things frozen while the city stays hot.
