Operating Joshi Pharma out of Raju Park is quite an experience because Devli Road stays busy almost all day long. We are tucked away in the Khanpur area, which is a place where everyone seems to be in a rush. I started this because I wanted to work somewhere close to home. The shop isn't huge, but it fits everything we need to carry. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to park, so we see a lot of people just hopping off their scooters quickly to come inside. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and a small counter where I sit. I keep a small radio on sometimes just to have some background noise while I'm checking the expiry dates on the packages. It’s not a high-tech operation. We write things down in registers and keep track of what’s going out. My nephew helps me out on the weekends when the crowd from the nearby residential blocks picks up. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we know where every single box is placed. It’s just a normal local business. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here on Devli Road. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors who stop by. It feels like a small community even though the city is so big around us. We just keep the doors open and do our work.
