Our office is right in the middle of Okhla Industrial Estate Phase III. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and workers moving around. We are at No. 242. It’s a large industrial building, and inside it’s a lot of engineering talk and technical drawings. People are usually hunched over their desks working on big projects. There’s always a bit of a hum from the computers and the ventilation system. It’s an industrial vibe, nothing like those fancy glass buildings you see in other parts of the city. We have a lot of people coming in and out, mostly staff and some visitors for meetings. The parking around Okhla is always a bit of a headache, so most of us get here early. Inside, the walls are covered with charts and project schedules. We don’t spend much time on decorations. It’s all about the work here. We have a pantry where people grab their lunch, but mostly people are at their stations. It’s a serious place because engineering needs focus, but we still have a laugh during the tea breaks. The area around us is full of other factories and offices, so it feels very productive. By the end of the shift, the traffic on the estate roads is pretty bad, so we usually finish up and try to beat the rush. It's just a solid, hardworking engineering office in a busy part of Delhi. That's the daily life.
