Ikays Pvt. Ltd is tucked away in K31 Dakshin Puri, which is a pretty crowded part of New Delhi. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now, just doing our daily business. It’s a small operation, and the office can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. We don’t really do anything flashy. Mostly it’s just us sitting at desks, making sure the orders are correct and the numbers add up. The neighborhood is loud, with street vendors and traffic right outside the door, but we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to wait it out or find something else to do. We aren’t a big corporate firm with hundreds of employees. We are just local people working in Dakshin Puri trying to make a living. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the main roads are blocked. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk about what’s happening in the area. It’s a very plain way of working, without any of those fancy office perks you see in the movies. We just focus on what needs to be finished by the end of the week. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and we might lose a pen or two, but the work gets done eventually. We like the local vibe of the place even when it is noisy.
