Being in a Type-3 building means it feels more like a house than a big cold office building, which we actually prefer. Most of us arrive around the same time and start the computers up for the day. There’s always some code to check or a software bug that someone is scratching their head over. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties every day. It’s mostly jeans and t-shirts here. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and chat about things that aren't work-related at all. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just wait it out together. It’s a pretty simple life. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls or anything like that. We just want the software we build to work like it’s supposed to for the people who use it. Some days are long, especially when a big deadline is coming up, but we pull through. The neighborhood is quiet enough that we can actually hear ourselves think while we work. We’ve grown a bit since we first started, but we still feel like the same small group of people who just enjoy figuring out how things work.
