Working out of Khirki Extension in New Delhi is an experience. If you’ve been to 110017, you know the streets are narrow and it’s always crowded with people moving back and forth. Our office here is right in the middle of all that energy. It’s a bit of a maze to get to us sometimes, but once you’re inside, it’s just a group of us working on various communication projects. We don't have a lot of space for extra things, so every corner is used for something. There’s a lot of noise from the street outside, like horns honking and vendors shouting, but you get used to it after a week. It becomes like background music while we’re drafting things or making calls. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a typical Delhi structure that’s seen a lot of seasons. We don’t have a big reception desk or someone in a suit waiting at the door. Usually, you’ll just find one of us near the entrance checking the mail. We handle a lot of different tasks, and things change quickly depending on what’s happening in the city. It’s practical work. We don’t really do the whole corporate polish thing because there’s no time for it. We just focus on getting the word out for whoever needs it and then we head home through the evening traffic like everyone else. It is a bit hectic but it keeps things interesting every day.
