Gourmet Ices

We are tucked away in Greater Kailash. It’s a busy neighborhood and people are always out and about, especially in the evenings. Gourmet Ices is where we spend our days dealing with anything cold. It’s a small shop and we try to keep it clean, but with people coming in and out all the time, it’s a constant job. We see a lot of families after dinner. They walk over from the nearby houses or park their cars just to grab something sweet before heading home. The freezers hum all day long. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to move fast, but mostly it’s just a regular routine. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations. Just the counters and the menu on the wall. The street outside can get pretty jammed with traffic, especially on the weekends. You can hear the car horns and the people chatting as they walk past. We mostly just focus on serving the scoops and making sure the lids are closed tight. It’s a simple business. We know many of the locals by name because they come in so often. It’s just how things are here in GK. We open up, we serve, and we close when it gets late. It is a lot of standing around, but the people make it interesting enough to keep going every day.
