Our place is over at 172 in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I. It’s right in the middle of the DIDC zone. If you’ve ever driven through Okhla, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the trucks and warehouses. We’ve been here at Excel Rasayan for several years now. We handle chemicals and industrial materials, so we have to be pretty careful with how we store and move everything. The warehouse is a big, open space with plenty of metal shelving and drums stacked up. It’s not the most beautiful building you'll see, but it’s functional and that’s what counts for a business like ours. We have a small team that manages the inventory and handles the shipping and receiving. Most of the time, we are just busy checking orders and making sure things are labeled correctly for the drivers. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just talk to our customers directly and get them what they need. It’s a very practical business. The heat in the summer can be tough in this part of Delhi, but we just keep the fans going and stay on top of the work. It’s a lot of paperwork and physical moving of goods. We like being in the industrial area because everything we need is close by. It’s a hardworking environment, and we fit right in with the other businesses on this block.
