Ashoka Distillers & Chemicals (P) Ltd.

We are based at 501, Chiranjeev Tower, 43, Nehru Place. It’s a big office building in a very busy commercial area. Ashoka Distillers & Chemicals (P) Ltd. is basically run from this fifth-floor office. It’s not as exciting as being in a factory, but there’s always a lot of paperwork and phone calls to handle. Nehru Place is always buzzing with people, and getting an elevator in the morning can take forever. Inside our office, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and files everywhere. We deal with the logistics and the side of the business that keeps the chemicals and distillery parts moving. It’s a lot of coordinating with people at different sites and making sure the permits are all in order. We don't have a flashy reception area; it’s more about getting the work done. The staff has been here a long time, so we’re all pretty familiar with each other’s habits. We usually order lunch from one of the stalls downstairs and eat while we work. It’s a corporate address, but we don't feel very corporate at all. We’re just a group of people trying to manage a complicated business in a crowded city. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and it gets a bit stressful, but we manage. We aren't really into big mission statements or vision boards. We just show up and do what needs doing to keep things running. The view from the window is mostly other buildings.
