Our clinic is located at Shop No. 6 in the basement of 1, Birbal Road. Being in Jangpura Extension, it is a nice spot, situated right near Birbal Park. Because we are down in the basement, it usually stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is a real relief during the peak of the Delhi heat. You have to come down a few concrete steps to reach us from the pavement. Doctor Yogesh C Paul has been seeing patients here for quite a few years now. The space is used very efficiently, with a small waiting area for three or four people and a private consultation room behind a thick curtain. We see a lot of people who are out for their morning or evening walks in the park and decide to stop by because they have a nagging cough or a fever. The atmosphere is generally quite calm compared to the main roads. We have a small wooden desk where the phone rings occasionally, and we keep a diary to track who is coming in next. There isn't any big signage or flashing lights, just a simple board outside with the name on it. The walls have a few basic health posters and a calendar. Our day starts fairly early and usually goes on until the late evening when the park visitors start heading back home. It is a small operation, but we know most of the regulars by name and they know us too. It is just a straightforward place for medical help.
