Core Design

You can find us at 414 on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road. We are right by Metro Pillar No-122 in Ghitorni. If you’ve ever driven down this road, you know it’s a hub for furniture and design stuff. Our place is right in the middle of all that noise. It’s not a shiny showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we actually sit and draw things. There’s usually dust on the floors and samples of fabric or wood sitting in piles. We started Core Design because we liked making things, not because we wanted to sit in a corporate office all day. It gets pretty loud with the metro passing by and the traffic, but you get used to it. Most of the time, we’re arguing over a sketch or trying to find a specific color that a client liked three months ago. We don’t have a big team of sales people. It’s just us. If you call, you’re probably talking to the person who’s actually going to be doing the work. We keep things pretty straightforward. We don’t use those big words that designers like to use to sound smart. We just talk about what works and what doesn’t. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because a supplier is late, and we have to explain that. It’s real life. We just try to do a good job and keep the space at Ghitorni running despite the daily chaos of the main road.
