Chaupal

Chaupal is based over in New Delhi at B7/170 Aya Nagar Ext. Phase-4. We are way down in the southern part of the city, almost near the border. The pin code is 110047. If you’ve ever been to Aya Nagar, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and tall buildings all squashed together. Our place is in the fourth phase of the extension. It’s a lively neighborhood with kids playing in the street and people selling vegetables from carts. Our office is just a room in the building where we keep all our stuff. It’s nothing fancy, just some desks and a few chairs that have seen better days. We don't have a big team or anything. It's just a couple of us doing the daily work. We don't bother with fancy titles or wearing suits. Mostly we just wear whatever is comfortable for the weather. The summers are really hot here, so the cooler is always running. We spend our time organizing things and making sure the paperwork is in order. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps if it’s a nice day and catch some sun. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we are just working to earn a living like everyone else in the colony. It’s a bit dusty and loud sometimes, but it feels like home to us. We just keep at it every day.
