Boss Computec is located in Dakshin Puri, at H. No. 94 in Block No. 7. It’s a busy part of Ambedkar Nagar. We’ve been here for a while, working on computers and all the parts that go with them. The shop is usually a bit messy with cables, opened-up towers, and boxes of motherboards everywhere. We don't really have a showroom. It’s more of a workspace where we spend our time fixing things that stopped working or building new systems for people. It’s dusty work, and there’s always a smell of solder or old electronics in the air. We have some shelves with spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. People from the neighborhood bring in their laptops when they won't turn on or when they get a virus. We’re not a fancy IT firm in a glass building. We’re just here in the block, working on whatever comes across the bench. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because the parts are hard to find. We just keep at it until it’s done. The street outside is always loud with people and traffic, so we usually have a radio playing in the back. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the hardware. We open up early and stay until the last job is finished for the day. It’s steady work and we like it because there is always something different to fix. We often help people with their phones too if they get stuck.
