Baskin Robbins

Working at Baskin Robbins here in New Friends Colony is pretty straightforward. Our shop is located at number 67, right in the middle of the neighborhood. It is a nice area, and we get a lot of families walking by in the evenings. The sound of the freezers humming is basically the background music of our lives. Sometimes it gets a bit loud, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters because things can get sticky pretty fast. It’s not a glamorous job, but seeing kids get excited makes the day go by a little faster. Friends Colony is a quiet place mostly, though it picks up on the weekends. We don't have some big corporate strategy we follow every day. We just open the shop, make sure the flavors are stocked, and wait for people to come in. The door at 67 squeaks a little when it opens, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. It’s a small detail that makes the place feel real. We aren't trying to be the fanciest spot in New Friends Colony. We just want to be a place where someone can grab a scoop and sit for a minute. It is just a regular shop run by regular people who like the neighborhood.
