We’ve been here at Videsh Sanchar Enclave M-42 for a good while now. It’s just a regular spot where people come to get their hair sorted out. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the dryers going, but that is how it usually is. Most people around here know us by now. We have a few chairs and mirrors that have seen a lot of use over the years. We try to keep things simple. If you need a cut or just want to change how your hair looks, you walk in and we see what we can do. It isn’t some fancy lounge where you get tea and wait for hours. We just get to work. Most days it’s just us talking about the weather or what is happening in the neighborhood while we use the scissors. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair faster than we can sweep it, but we manage. People like that we are right here in the enclave. It’s convenient for them. We do not spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The focus is just on the job. You might see some old magazines on the table, but they are mostly for show. We know our regulars by their first names and they know us. It is a decent way to spend the day, honestly. Just cutting hair and making sure people look a bit neater when they leave through the front door.
