Arete Software Pvt Ltd has its office tucked away in South Extension Plaza 1. It’s a busy area, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s pretty quiet. We are a small group of folks who spend most of our time writing code and fixing bugs. The office isn't anything out of the ordinary, just some desks, computers, and a lot of half-empty water bottles. We don't really do the whole corporate dress code thing, so you'll mostly see people in jeans and t-shirts. Some of us have been here since the beginning, while others joined more recently. There is always someone complaining about the air conditioning being too cold or not cold enough. We mostly just keep our heads down and work on whatever software needs building that week. Lunch is usually a group affair, either ordering in or going to one of the spots nearby in South Extension. It’s a practical way to run things. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do a good job with the projects we take on. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but mostly we try to get home at a decent hour. It's just a normal workplace with people who actually care about the code they write. No bells or whistles, just us working in the plaza every day and trying to make things work.
