Apollo Hospital-Delhi

Down here at R-14, Nafees Rd in the Jogabai Ext. area of Okhla, things stay pretty hectic. This is where Apollo Hospital-Delhi is located, and it is a busy part of town. There are always people walking around outside and the sound of traffic is constant. Inside, we just try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can. It is a hospital environment, so there is always that smell of cleaning supplies and medicine in the air. We see a lot of families coming through the doors every day. Some people are stressed, some are just waiting. We try to help them find where they are going because the layout can be a bit tricky if you aren't used to it. The staff here works long shifts. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The Nafees Road area has its own rhythm and we are just a part of that. We have a small canteen where we grab quick bites when there is a break. It is hard work and sometimes it gets emotional, but we just focus on the tasks at hand. Keeping the records straight and making sure the rooms are ready is a full-time job for sure. There is never a moment where nothing is happening. It is just life in a big city hospital.
