Aplause The Unisex Saloon

You can find us in Katwaria Sarai, Delhi 110016, which is right near the Qutab Hotel. Being near a big hotel means there is always something going on outside on the street. At Aplause The Unisex Saloon, the day usually starts with checking the towels and making sure the chairs are ready for whoever walks in. It’s a unisex place so we see all sorts of people coming through the door throughout the week. The area is quite crowded and the noise from the traffic outside is just something we have grown used to over time. We have our mirrors and our tools laid out on the stations and we try to keep things as tidy as possible, though hair gets everywhere no matter what you do. It’s just how it goes in a saloon. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the work. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who have been coming to us since we opened up here in Katwaria Sarai. It’s a decent enough spot to work and being close to the hotel makes it easy for people to give directions. We don't have a fancy website or anything, we just focus on the people standing in front of us. Usually, by the time evening rolls around, we are all pretty tired but it’s a good kind of tired that comes from a long day of working.
